Iran Unveils New Veterinary Products, Medicines

Iran unveiled nine new veterinary products, medicines and equipment in a ceremony attended by Minister of Agriculture Mahmoud Hojjati and Head of Environment Protection Organization Masoumeh Ebtekar
The products include seven veterinary drugs, a vaccine and a diagnosis kit for veterinary products.

The drugs include ceftiofur sodium, penicillin injecting suspension, metoclopramide, probiotics, hexamethylenetetramine, levamisole hydrochloride, combination of mineral acids, FMD vaccine and Para TB in livestock.

Back in June, Iranian scientists announced that they managed to produce a new type of FMD vaccine.

FMD disease is a highly contagious disease that affects cloven-hoofed animals, including livestock. Outbreak of the disease can result in heavy livestock casualties.
